Reserved Victorian Micro Mosaic Bird Ring

Part 1 (750/1950)

A fine late Victorian micro mosaic ring depicting a bird perched on a branch.

Hundreds of tiny glass pieces (tesserae) have been carefully arranged to form a bird with a blue sky background. It’s likely the mosaic was purchased in Italy and then crafted into a ring back in the UK.

The detail is exquisite with the birds eyes and feathers clearly visible.

Crafted from 18ct gold, the ring has a makers mark for WW&Co and 18ct gold. It has also been tested as 18ct gold.

5.3 grams

US size 6 3/4

Micro mosaic is 15x11mm.

Beaitiful clean condition. There is one lost tesserae visible at the top of the branch but this blends into the tree. Magnified images included.
