Victorian Diamond and Ruby Dolphin Brooch

A striking antique brooch modelled as a dolphin. In early artworks, dolphins were often depicted with fish or serpent-like features and appeared more heraldic compared with contemporary depictions.

The brooch is made from 9ct gold and topped with silver in which the diamonds are set.

There is a small drop-down bail loop that allows the pendant to be worn as a pendant.

Weight: 15 grams

Materials: 9ct gold and silver - tested, no hallmarks.

Size: 4.4cm diameter

Gemstones: Approximately 3cts of old cut and rose cut diamonds. One small ruby set as the dolphin's eye. The diamonds are of good clarity and colour but do vary individually. The stones are bright and sparkle beautifully. Some small surface scratches on some diamonds.

Condition: Very good clean condition. Age-related patina and surface marks.

Free international shipping and will be sent gift boxed.
