Victorian Banded Agate and Diamond Ring
A stunning banded agate and diamond ring.
The perfectly matched banded agates are arranged in a large horse shoe setting with twinkling rose cut diamonds set between each agate.
The reverse of the ring is inscribed with the date 27th (indistinct) 1875.
UK size Q 1/2
US size 8 1/4
The horseshoe is a larger size - 23mm tall and 19mm in length.
Originally a brooch this piece has been converted into a ring at some stage in its life.
The agates have a warm two tone colour and the diamonds add a flash of sparkle to the piece. The ring really glistens and twinkles when worn.
The band tests as 9ct gold.
Great clean condition. Stones are all in nice clean condition. Back of the piece has some age /conversion / acid testing discoloration. In some of the photos it looks like part of the mount is nibbled - this is just a reflection on the gold (the mount is in good condition).
