Victorian Amethyst and Diamond Shield Brooch / Pendant
A small yet mighty brooch from the mid-nineteenth century, this piece features a striking shield-shaped amethyst as its centrepiece. Amethyst has long been worn for its believed ability to protect against stress and negative energy, making this brooch both a symbolic and physical talisman of protection. The brooch has a drop down bail which allows the piece to be worn as a pendant.
