Very Fine Silver Gilt Snake

This is an absolutely stunning silver gilt (vermeil) early example of a snake ring.

Estimated to be Victorian/early twentieth century and possibly from France.

The condition is incredible with wonderful realistic fine detailed scaling. The type of ring is rare due to the larger size - it's getting harder to find these rings in larger sizes. 

The ring is made of silver gilt which is a thick layer of gold over a silver base.

The ring fits beautifully and is soft to the touch. No hallmarks.
