Think of Me - Pensé A moi Georgian Gilt Metal Pendant

A beautiful French Locket containing a hinged panel embossed with an image of a pansy and the words "A moi". 

Circa 1820. 

The world for Pansy in French is Pensée. The word for Think is Pensé, so an image of a pansy was used to represent remembering someone. 

The locket is gilt metal and is 2cm in diameter.

A beautiful solid piece of jewellery in great clean condition.
