Stunning 1930's Opal and rose cut Diamond Ring

The universe in a ring.

This is a gorgeous opal and rose cut diamond ring which dates to the 1930s. 

This ring has so much fire and colour play which is hard to capture in a photograph. Videos can be found on my Instagram @ishyantiques

The beautiful opal is surrounded by a halo of rose cut diamonds. The rose cuts are perfectly cut to frame the opal and have a wonderful even shimmer. 

I personally believe this ring would get more admiring glances than a diamond because of the colour play and beauty of the setting. When I hold it I am mesmerised by the colours and glow.

No hallmarks. Tested as 18ct gold.

Nice clean condition. One of the claws holding the opal is a bit shorter than the others. Small nicks to the underside of the gallery. Has been looked over by three specialist dealers who believe that the ring is original and dates to the 1930s. The opal has age related abrasion but is in nice condition.
