A rare 19th-century signet ring worn by a supporter of Napoleon Bonaparte. This 18ct gold ring features a carnelian stone finely engraved with the Emperor’s initial and his emblem - the Bee. @heartofhearts.jewels has a wonderful blog exploring the fascinating history of the Bee and its connection to Napoleon (I’ll share it in my stories). I wonder which of his supporters wore this ring and if he ever saw the intaglio before it was set into this ring 🐝 The ring weighs 20 grams and is a UK size R (US size 8 5/8). Circa 1840.

will be sized down to US size 8
