Reserved Edwardian Platinum Diamond Necklace

A stunning old cut diamond horseshoe necklace. This eye catching piece came to us like this but was originally a hair pin with a tortoiseshell comb fitting. The comb fitting was removed and the diamond top was converted into a necklace. The horseshoe is finely crafted and studded with beautiful diamonds across the 3 dimensional surface. 

Age: Circa 1915-1920

Weight: 15 grams

Materials: Platinum. Chain has markings for 950 platinum, the horseshoe and chain also test as platinum. 

Size: Horseshoe is 4.1x4.3cm, necklace is 49cm end to end.

Gemstones: Calculated as approximately 3cts of old cut and rose cut diamonds. Bright white stones, estimated as H/I colour and VS-I clarity.

Condition: Very good clean condition. Light surface marks, two missing diamonds which will be replaced before delivery. Converted from a hair pin.
