A sweet 18ct gold and platinum ring set with a heart/pear shaped opal and diamonds.
This example is circa 1910 and is art nouveau in style.
Stamped and tested as 18ct gold and platinum.

The central white opal is a natural example and displays a lovely colourful flash. The opal is flanked on either side by a 1.5mm diamond in a star setting.
The platinum shoulders have been faceted and milgrained to give the illusion of being set with diamonds.
Nice clean condition. Light surface scratches on the opal.
