Antique Irish Bog Oak Brooch - Celtic Harp

A stunning Irish bog oak brooch in the shape of a Celtic harp.

The surface of the brooch is carved with intricate Celtic patterns.

Dating to circa 1890.

The brooch is carved from bog oak. Bog oak is a material that is formed when trees are buried in peat bogs and are preserved over hundreds to thousands of years. 

This brooch measures: 29mm in length and 2.7cm wide.

The brooch is framed in gilt metal.

Condition: Nice clean condition. No chips or cracks to bog oak. Light scratches to gilt surface. Please see pictures.
