Antique Carved Coral and Gold Statement Ring

A beautiful carved coral ring.

The cameo depicts a bearded face. The cameo has been dated to the 19th century but could be much earlier.

The mount is detailed with twisted wirework detailing and engraved shoulders. The ring has been restored so that from the shoulders onwards the band is newer and is hallmarked for 1986 London 9ct Gold.

Condition:

Cameo is secure in mount.

Coral is nice and sharp.

No damage to carving, minor tiny nibble on bottom left edge of cameo.

The band is slightly off round, but nice and thick. Minor nicks and scuffs to band as expected with age. Please see pictures.

Natural inclusions in the cameo (towards bottom of carving) sbd back of carving.

Minor nick in mount at 11pm.
