18ct Gold Victorian Coral and Pearl Ring


An unusual coral and pearl ring dating to the Victorian era c.1840/1850. The ring looks like a smiling mouth complete with teeth. 

The closed back Ring is set with a row of calibre cut corals with a pearl halo. 

Tests as 18ct with a worn 18ct stamp.

8mm wide at the front which tapers to 2mm wide at the reverse. 

Nice clean condition. One pearl has a small chip and some have age related wear. It’s possible some of the corals are replacements.
