Reserved 18ct Gold and Silver Star Sapphire And Diamond Earrings

A pair of antique rose cut diamond and star sapphire earrings. 

Tested as 18ct gold with silver around the diamonds. 

Circa 1900. 

Complete with a Gem and Pearl Laboratory report identifying the stones as star sapphires from Sri Lanka with no evidence of heat treatment.

Post with lever back fittings. Each earring has a beautiful pierced gallery and fine prongs holding the star sapphire in place. 

The sapphires have a milky blue colour and when exposed to direct light sources exhibit asterism (a star formation) across the surface of the stones. 

Images have been taken with and without flash - the star effect is more pronounced in direct lighting. 

Each earring is 1.7cm in length.

Each earring weighs 3.57 grams.
