18ct Gold and Silver Georgian Rose Cut Diamond Earrings

A striking pair of Georgian rose cut diamond earrings. 

These earrings have a floral design and feature a rose cut diamond in a collet setting which is surrounded by further rose cuts.

The silver discs contrast beautifully with the 18ct gold ear  wires. 

The hook fittings allow the discs to dangle freely and catch the light.

The hooks can be removed to allow the discs to be worn with other earrings / components. 

Hooks tested as 18ct gold. Discs tested as silver.

Circa early 19th century.

Approximately 1 carat total diamond weight. 

3.1cm diameter for each disc. 

Each earring weighs 7.5 grams.

Nice clean condition. Components were converted from buttons/brooches. Open and closed back settings behind the rose cut diamonds. Some inclusions, variation in colours and surface nibbles to some of the stones.
