A diamond set brooch circa 1890.
This beautiful piece is centred with the initial “M” / “ W” depending on which way around it is worn. The initial is surrounded by a foliate design.
The brooch has been tested as 15ct gold and silver and is set with rose and old cut diamonds. Four lustrous pearls finish off the piece.
2.9cm tall, 4.2cm wide (excluding pin). The initial is 1.7cm tall.

The brooch is in beautiful clean condition. All stones intact. A couple of rose cuts have surface abrasion. The pearls are real but have not been tested for natural or cultured origin.
