A cool Victorian fob with a locket compartment. Circa 1890-1900.
The fob is made from gilt metal and hangs off a split ring which tests as 15ct gold.
The fob is set with three natural agate stones. One panel has a hinge which allows it to be opened to reveal a compartment inside.
The split ring is 15mm in diameter.
23.7 grams.
The fob is hollow with a repoussé finish. The split ring is solid.
6.1cm length including the split ring.
Nice condition. Light wear to the surface of the piece. Split ring is secure but remains slightly open on one edge. Some small pierces to the surface of the repoussé work. Hinged panel stays closed but has a slight amount of give.
