Victorian 18ct Gold Snake Belt Buckle with Ruby, Sapphire & Diamonds

An exceptional Victorian period snake clip belt buckle crafted primarily in rich 18KT yellow gold, designed as two entwined serpents in a bold and sculptural form. The serpents’ heads are set with natural gemstones, each accented with rose-cut diamonds, reflecting the symbolic Victorian fascination with snakes as emblems of eternity, protection, and wisdom.

The bodies are smoothly contoured with a soft satin gold finish, while the reverse features a silver-gilt hinged clip mechanism, typical of period construction. The contrasting materials and fluid curves give the piece strong visual impact while remaining refined and wearable. A rare and characterful antique jewel with excellent period presence.
