Smith And Pepper 9ct Gold Snake Necklace

A lovely tubogas snake necklace crafted from 9ct gold.

This collar was crafted by Smith & Pepper in the 1960s. Made from 9ct gold, the flexible gas pipe style chain has an articulated design that allows it to expand and move fluidly.

At the bottom, the serpent’s head and tail join together, symbolizing eternal love, with engravings and two pink ruby eyes for added detail.

Smith & Pepper was founded by Mr. Smith and his uncle Mr. Pepper. The firm operated in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter from 1899 to 1981.

The collar’s timeless design is secured by a box clasp and safety catch, featuring the maker's mark and Birmingham hallmarks, dating it to 1961.
