Set with a richly intense garnet gemstone topper with a star mount set with an old cut diamond.
Fully hallmarked and tested as 22ct Gold for Birmingham 1864. It is so rare to find a ring of this size come up for sale.

I think this piece is original in design but it could potentially be an early Victorian conversion piece. The inside of the band is the same the whole way around (no gallery or screws attaching the garnet - a solid gold band).
The diamond is beautifully sparkly.
Condition: Nice overall condition. Please see pictures - age related marks to band. Light scratches to garnet. The star in the garnet is secure but spins if turned. Repair work to wire work mount detail - some solder marks and slight dents and one semi circle is cut and pushed slightly down.
