Georgian Garnet Glass Day and Night Earrings

A pair of glass bead earrings dating to the mid 18th century.

The garnet coloured beads have been stitched onto gilt metal frames and wires.

These have survived in remarkable condition for their age (circa 1740!) and look beautiful when worn.

The drops can be unhooked allowing the tops to be worn alone.

Nice clean condition. One bow has some extra stitches from where it’s been reinforced. These are several hundred years old and do require some care when worn.

Front to back fittings.

4.6cm in length.
