A beautiful chrysoberyl brooch in silver circa 1790.
Most likely Portuguese in origin.
This was a component from a larger piece of jewellery such as a pair of earrings and has had a new pin attached to the reverse.

Beautiful faceted chrysoberyls have been precisiely cut and set into the bow.
The stones were tested as chrysoberyl by a gemmologist.
The piece is in wonderful clean condition. Light surface scratches to a couple of stones. Please see pictures. Brooch fitting is new.
