A lovely antique silver compass on a sterling silver chain.
In a nice shield shape.
The working compass dates to 1898 (hallmarked). The chain is modern.
TJS makers mark.
Size of compass: 31 mm length (including bail and loop), 21mm width.
Chain is 45 cm in length end to end.
Condition: Nice clean condition. The metal is hallmarked for silver and the chain is also hallmarked for sterling silver. Light scratches and minor pitting across the surface of the piece. Some dirt beneath the compass glass. Please see pictures.
