A really unusual intaglio ring.
The thick 18ct gold band is really unique in its construction. It leads to a central bezel set carnelian engraved with what I believe is a helmet between two branches. The band is not antique but I am unsure of the age of the carnelian. It is such an unusual subject matter that I personally believe it is a very old intaglio in a newer band.

Nice clean condition. Indistinctly marked 750 and tested as 18ct gold. The carnelian has a chip to one edge. Please see pictures.
