Reserved 18ct Gold, Diamond and Turquoise 19th Century Snake Ring

A fine 19th century 18ct gold snake ring.

The head of the snake is set with an old cut diamond and a turquoise cabochon.

Two distinct snakes entwine in this ring - a symbol of union and love.

Originally set with a damaged garnet we replaced the broken stone with a turquoise cabochon to create a contemporary look.

UK size Q 1/2

US size 8 1/4

6.5g

The old cut diamond weighs approximately 0.45cts.

Stamped and tested as 18ct gold.

Nice clean condition - the diamond has a tiny chip at the tip of the pear. The old cut diamond is nice and clean and sparkles beautifully (the close up photo beneath the loupe is unedited - the white glow is a reflection from the diamond). Evidence of resizing to rear of the band.
