19th Century Boxed Diamond Ring

A striking early 19th century diamond ring complete in a fitted velvet lined ring box

The ring consists of a band of chunky old cut diamonds surrounded by a halo of mixed old cut diamonds. The sparkling stones are set in silver with open back settings and the ring shank tests as 12ct gold.

UK size S

US size 9 1/8

Face of ring is 14mm wide.

It would be possible to size the ring slightly smaller.

7.2 grams

Approximately 2.20cts of diamonds. The diamonds are varying cuts, colours and clarities but they don’t have many black inclusions within them. A couple of stones have some surface nibbles but no large chips or damage. I have included 30x magnified images of the diamonds.

There is a worn engraving to one side of the shank “2 1/4 K”

Nice clean condition. Settings appear to be secure. Two areas of the ring gallery have some wear but this doesn’t affect the structural integrity of the ring. Shank is believed to be original or a 19th century replacement. This ring is over 200 years old so care should be taken when worn.

Free international shipping and will be sent gift boxed.
