Victorian Pinchbeck Bracelet

A Victorian pinchbeck bracelet circa 1860.

The chain incorporates Georgian design elements with Victorian design.

Pinchbeck is an alloy of copper and zinc which was used to imitate gold and is now a sought-after material in its own right.

The chain alternates between an embossed pattern and a smooth pattern and is fully articulated.

The piece weighs a substantial 39.0g

24.2cm in length and 1.8cm wide (the bolt ring is 2.2cm in diameter).

Lovely clean condition. The bolt ring is believed to be a later addition. Some scratches to some of the smooth centres and one embossed centre has a small indentation.
