18th Century Rose Cut Diamond Drop

A phenomenal rose cut diamond and enamel pendant/component dating to the 18th century. This component is Iberian in style and was likely once part of a larger piece of jewellery. 

In it's current form jump rings could be attached through the upper loops allowing the piece to be worn as a necklace. 

It’s difficult to accurately measure closed back stones so the spread has been calculated. The central pear shape diamond spreads approximately 0.60cts (6x5mm exposed surface) and the top rounder rose cut diamond spreads approximately 0.20cts (4mm diameter). All the stones are foil backed. 

The central diamond is surrounded by smaller rose cut diamonds. 

The back and sides of the pendant are beautifully enamelled and there is a floral design on the reverse. 

Crafted from 18ct carat gold with silver settings.

The two main diamonds are bright and are eye clean. 

2.8cm length and 1.2cm wide at the widest part of the drop.

Nice clean condition. Some enamel loss to the top of the pendant. The loop at the reverse has been soldered shut. The halo of rose cut diamonds are lower grade diamonds and have some abrasion and nibbles. Age related wear to settings but the stones are secure. The rose cut setting at the top of the pendant can be spun around. The loops at the top have slightly thinned with age related wear.
