A wonderful example of a clasped hands ring.

From the private collection of UK collector. An original ancient roman panel was sympathetically set into modern mount. 

During the first to third centuries wedding rings began to become popular in the Roman Empire and the image of clasped hands symbolised a pledge, union or vows.

The main panel is high carat gold. The mount tests above 14ct gold.
